PvP Tips and Tricks

Well, here goes my first important Minecraft post! Listed below are just some general PvP tips to help you destroy you enemies. But first, you may be wondering what PvP is. Well, it stands for "Player versus Player" and it's basically just the art of killing other players. You can only PvP on servers, simply because there aren't any players to battle on a single player game. So, without further delay, here are some tips to help you in your PvP quests.

1.) If you are new on a PvP server, keep your head low. Don't talk to much in player chat. Until you build up a good arsenal of tools weapons and armor, don't attract any attention to yourself. It will only lead to trouble.

2.) If you are caught in a PvP situation in which you are outgunned, then sometimes all you can do is run. One of the most helpful things to keep in your quick select bar are ender pearls. If you right click while holding one in your hand, you will throw the pearl, and then you will teleport to wherever it lands. Ender pearls are really helpful if you are ambushed by a player with better gear then you.

3.) When you are being chased, plopping lava buckets on the ground while you run will often force the enemy to swerve in order to not burn up. This will slow them down and give you a chance to get away. Water works too, just because it slows them down. You can also use flint and steel, or fire charges, to light the ground if you run out of buckets.

4.) Make sure your selection bar is organized. You want to have the right combination of items in the right order. If your potions of health are 4 spaces away from your sword, then it could cost you if you need to quickly use them. Instead, have your potions 1 space away from the items you use, so that you can scroll easily to them.

5.) Strafe. Always. Well, always when you are PvPing at least. Strafing is simply running in circles around you opponent, so you can hit them more then they can hit you. It's also helpful to jump while attacking sometimes, since this results in critical hits which do more damage.

Hope this information helped you in your PvP quest for total domination! Expect more posts like this soon.
